My research is dedicated to advancing precision treatment by moving beyond one-size-fits-all therapeutic approaches. I specifically investigate how psychedelics can be used to pharmacologically probe and treat a negative affect biotype, that characterizes many emotional disorders. A central question in my work is to explore the interaction between pharmacologically-induced plasticity, negative biases, and post-dosing experiences. To successfully dissect these components, my PhD employs novel compounds like the non-hallucinogenic 2-bromo-LSD alongside a comprehensive, multi-level assessment battery. By integrating EEG to measure neural dynamics, cognitive tasks, and ecological momentary assessment to capture real-world effects, I aim to build a biomarker-guided framework that can accurately predict which patients will benefit most from these compounds.
